We offer four different types of chemical peel at The Skin Suite®. The first and more gentle peels we offer are skin resurfacing by pHformula, they focus on skin rejuvenation by incorporating a specific delivery complex that aids in deeper penetration of acids. This aims to maintain the skins natural barrier whilst stimulating skin cell renewal and collagen production within the dermis.  These treatments can be tailored to your concerns including, sun damage, chronic redness, ageing and acne. A course of 6 peels, 2-4 weeks apart is recommended initially followed by maintenance treatments every 4-6 weeks. It is also recommended to use pHformula home care before, during and after your resurfacing for optimal results. 

The second is the Obagi Blue Peel Radiance® which is a superficial salicylic acid-based chemical peel that exfoliates and helps to improve overall complexion, providing firmer, smoother and brighter looking skin. This peel is ideal for those with fine lines, wrinkles, rough or uneven skin tone, acne prone skin and mild to moderate sun damage. A single peel can also be used to prep the skin prior to starting Obagi prescription skincare to help prepare and exfoliate the skin. A course of 3-6 is recommended 2-4 weeks apart, followed by one every 3 months for maintenance. 

The third is TCA Touch, a 30% trichloroacetic acid solution with a tailored delivery complex ensuring deep penetration whilst reducing surface level damage. TCA is known for its powerful exfoliating properties, promotion of new cell growth and stimulation of collagen and elastin. This peel can be used for lines, wrinkles, acne and acne scarring, sum damage and texture. This ensures reduced side effects and minimal down time. A course of 2 peels, 4 weeks apart is recommended initially followed by quarterly peels to maintain results. 

The fourth and deepest peel we offer is The Perfect Peel which combines several ingredients including TCA, Retinol, Phenol, Vitamin C, Kojic and Salicylic Acid. The peel exfoliates, reduces lines and wrinkles, helps to improve acne, scarring, and helps to correct pigment. This peel can give transformative results, often after just one treatment, a course of 3 is recommended for acne patients. Please be prepared for 1-2 weeks of downtime and peeling after having this treatment and take this into account when considering booking your appointment around holidays and events. Please note that depending on your skin type your practitioner may recommend that your skin is prepped at home for a few weeks prior to treatment which would be an additional cost.
