Elective Filler Dissolving (Hyalase)
Misplacement or migration of dermal fillers can lead to undesired complications. This can be remedied by the use of an enzyme called Hyaluronidase (Hyalase) which is prescription only medicine used to breakdown hyaluronic acid. Your Practitioner may patch test the medicine on your forearm prior to treatment to ensure there is no immediate reaction before proceeding. The enzyme would then be injected into the area of concern and massaged. Some individuals may experience redness, bruising, pain, swelling, or mild vasodilation. Some results may be seen immediately but full results should be reviewed after 2 weeks to assess if more Hyalase is required. If you are considering having another dermal filler treatment after dissolving it is recommended to wait at least 4 weeks for this.
You will require a consultation prior to treatment to ensure suitability, all consultations are £50 which is redeemable against your treatment cost. Please note that if you have a history of certain allergies you may not be suitable for this treatment, Hyalase will also only dissolve hyaluronic acid so it is important to be aware of which product (and ideally how much) has been injected as not all ‘fillers’ are hyaluronic acid based. Results may vary.
