Anti-wrinkle treatment for the upper face using Botulinum Toxin Type A, commonly known as Botox®, works by temporarily blocking the nerve signal that cause a muscle to contract. When injected into specific areas the muscle is relaxed and fewer lines form, therefore having a smoothing effect on the face. Lines and wrinkles are prevented or reduced and in some cases disappear completely. Normally results last for up to 3-4 months but may last longer, repeat treatments will be required for maintenance. Although bruising is always a risk with any injectable treatment down time is usually minimal to none.

As Botox® is a prescription only medicine you will have an initial consultation with a Nurse Prescriber to establish your suitability for treatment and to discuss any concerns or questions you have.
